Springsteen tickets in high demand

Most of the venues for the Bruce Springsteen concerts in America and Europe were sold out in a matter of hours. Now tickets fetch up to $500 each on eBay.

As previously reported on The Rock Radio, "The Boss" will play 14 US shows in a solo acoustic format starting April 24 in Detroit; he will then head to Europe for another concert series in arenas and theatres.

Springsteen's 19th album, "Devils & Dust" will be released April 26. It was produced by Brendan O'Brien and features twelve new studio songs.

U2 to release DVD box set

New Zealand fan site u2newzooland.com reports that Universal New Zealand are to release a U2 DVD boxed set in September 2005. It is not yet clear whether this will be a worldwide release.

The set will contain three of U2's "back-catalogue" titles that have previously been unavailable on DVD.

The are:

- Live at Red Rocks
- Zoo TV Live from Sydney
- Popmart Live from Mexico

A fourth title that was rumoured to have been included in this boxed-set, "The Best of 1980-1990", has now been held back for a possible release at a later date as an individual title.

U2's Vertigo world tour is currently under way. The Irish rockers are now performing in North America and will move to Europe for the second leg on the tour in the summer, returning to America for another series of shows in the autumn.
